7.05 PM / 1-23-03 / Strife - Oh yeah, i forgot to meantion, I'm not updating any more, haha. Lack of interest, etc. etc. blah blah blah.

I've found and AWESOME new anime called Cowboy Bebop. It's simply amazing from everything from graphics, plot, and music down to the voice acting. It's simply overflowing with style and the character designs are some of the most unique ever to be found in anime. Search for it on your own or head on over to Jazz Messengers to find out more. I highly urge you to give this series a chance, you'll be glad you did.

Anyway, I'm gone.....forever, so dont stay up for me. Bye all.

10.45 PM / 11-12-00 / Strife - Well, all is quiet on the anime front right now... Anyway the DBZ CCG will have a new saga being released soon, actually the 31st of January. It will be called the Trunks Saga and obviously the cards will be centered around Trunks, the androids, and Cell. Gee, big surprise... Also, in Funimations latest newsletter appears these two news bulletins:

Two words: Video Game. That`s right, Infogrames/GT Interactive is beginning work on DBZ video games. The games will be for Playstation 1 & 2 and Color Gameboy. Be prepared because the games are coming in 2001.

FUNimation has just acquired permission to produce and release movies 4, 5 and 6 which are titled in Japanese, "Super Saiyan Goku," "Cooler`s Revenge" and "Attack! 1,000,000 Power Warriors." The movies will be released to home video sometime in 2001.

Well, the videogame rumors that have been floating around for about half a year or so finally take form. If this new game is anything like its Japanese counterparts, it would be worth buying. If you want to find out anything about the existing Japanese games, go to the Planet Namek Game Guide. Also, the three movies FUNi has acquired the rights to should be interesting to watch. Though Movie #4 sucked major ass and is probably the worst of all, 5 and 6 were fairly good. I guess we'll have to wait and see how FUNi dubs them and cleans em up to present in VHS and DVD. God forbid they go to the big screen...

9.17 PM / 11-09-00 / Strife - I only have one word for today's Gundam OVA...wow... This is the best OVA for any anime I've ever seen, Endless Waltz kicked ass. The story was great, great animation, and voices and music were awesome, as usual. Near the end, they even played an original Japanese song, with Japanese words and all. The only fault I see with Endless Waltz was the fact that, if one hasn't seen most of the regular Gundam W episodes, then all the flashbacks and different looking suits can confuse the viewers. Overall, Ocean Group did a magnificent job with this already solid OVA, good job.

And some more about the Gundam W OVA, but this time regarding the DVD version:

2/6/2001 is the announced date for the DVD release of Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. It will contain both the movie version (created in Japan) and the original individual 3 OVA's. The English track of the movie version will be in Dolby Digital 5.1 and the Japanese will be the original 2.0 format.

If you're a big Gundam fan, then go out and grab the DVD. If you aren't a big Gundam fan, go out and grab the DVD ^_^.

5.34 PM / 11-09-00 / Strife - Here is some news about the Playstation 2 regarding Gundam:

Bandai announced that they will be releasing a Limited Edition of their upcoming PlayStation 2 robot action game Mobile Suit Gundam on December 21. The Limited Edition will include a specially made crystal clear MS Selection RX-78-2 Gundam figure. The story takes place in the time of 0079, the action stages will take place in a variety of locations, such as town, deserts, and jungles. The game which is currently untitled, is an 3rd person action game which pits Amuro Rei (you) in the RX-78 against the forces in the One Year War including his arch-enemy Char Aznable, squads of Zakus, Ranba Ral, and even the Aircraft Carrier Gau. To succeed you have to coordinate with your support suits, the GunTank and the GunCannon which help you out when you request support/backup. There will be over 40 minutes of CG movie and remake animation movie sequences throughout the game. The game is being developed by a joint-team which worked on both the PSX's Zeta Gundam, Char's Counterattack games, and the DreamCast Gundam Team.

I've played the original Gundam Game for SNES, and it was quite entertaining for a while. It will be interesting to see what the remake will be like, after some modifications. And here is our first bit of EVA news in a while, its regards the ever popular action figures:

Diamond Comic Distributors has announced that they will be getting additional quantities of the highly popular Neon Genesis Evangelion back in stock next month.

Diamond stated, "Initial shipments of the figures that have been released were welcomed enthusiastically by collectors, which resulted in rapid sell-outs and high demand for those and for other, upcoming NGE figures. In response to this demand from retailers and consumers, Diamond is pleased to offer 10 of these best-selling toys, which will be arriving in mid-December." Diamond has also stated, "Quantities of these figures will be limited, and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis." Here is the list of the figures you can expect to see more of very soon:

NGE EVA Unit 00 Blue Figure- $14.99
NGE EVA Unit 00 Blue (Metallic) Repaint Fig. - $14.99
NGE EVA Unit 00 Yellow Figure $14.99

From what I hear, these toys are of extremely good quality and value, so check em out. Now to discover what unpleasantry has been connived for tonights grim meal...(I hate meatloaf...) Bye guys.

6.21 PM / 11-08-00 AD / Strife - Hey, sorry about the lack in updates lately. Apparently Keisuke has given up the site already, on account of schoolwork and other things. So, the site will be mine, and I do plan to make a few changes. Firstly, Kei had planned to put full episodes up on the site. I didn't really think it was a good idea, but I went along with it. But, as of now, there will never be any full episodes of any anime on this site. I plan to replace this with a multimedia section which will hopefully include images, sound files, and movie clips. I will also limit the content of the site to Evangelion, Gundam W, and DragonballZ only. Hope the new changes work out, but we'll see.

Anywho, a small tidbit of news to share with you:

Figures.com is constructing a list of the Top 20 Toys of All Time . Today's entry, number 19 is Gundam. "Figures.com places Gundam 19th in our Top 20 list because of the enourmous long-running impact this series and it's merchandise has had on the World- despite culture, language, and race- Gundam continues to break all barriers." The entry can be read at here.

*applause* This is great. The Gundam toys are extremely good quality and deserve to be recognized in such a way. I guess that's it for today, later.

6.32 PM / 11-02-00 AD / Strife - Though I've never played this game myself, but I've heard a lot about it, and if it it half as good as it sounds, its worthy of translation and release in the US. Here's the clip:

There currently is a petition being organized by Gundam fans to bring over and translate the extremely popular Gundam video game: Girens Greed AKA Blood of Zeon, an incredible strategy game which allows you to change the course of the One Year war seen in the original series and in two of the OAVs. The game is extremely popular in Japan, inspiring some of the model kits and is on three systems-Saturn, Playstation, and Dreamcast. The petition can be signed at here. Also see The Gundam Project's coverage of the game at here.

Sounds like a worthy cause to me, so be sure to take a look over the petition, and if you deem it worth, by all means, sign it! ^_^

On a side note, I'm am really gonne get down and work on some infor for DBZ, GW, and EVA as soon as I can. This weekend is tied up for me, as I am gonna be out of town. That's it for me today, bye guys.

5.23 PM / 11-01-00 AD / Strife - GAH! Just as I update, more stuff appears, sheesh... *stands up proudly* But it is my duty to provide fans with new material! Bleh, here goes. It looks like Bid for Power has made some progress on their mod. Some new spiffy pics have just been released, showing work on the HUD and the ki trails. 4.52 PM / 11-01-00 AD / Strife - Oh mercy! This update is gonna be massive... *takes a deep breath* Ok, here we go, try to keep up. This first bit of news is a few days old, so I'll start out with this:

It seems that Julian Grybowski's petition for unedited Dragon Ball which currently has over 10,000 signatures may have paid off. Apparently, Viz is finalizing plans for an unedited release pending approval from Shueisha. The format will probably be graphic novel, and the tentative release date is April 2001. Julian found this out during a Dragon Ball chat on Lycos and says that official news should come soon enough.

I'm not a big fan of the manga, but this is good news for those who are interested in it's future. Kudos to Viz, who took notice of the petition, for acting upon it, and releasing an unedited translation. Thanks to Eric Phan at Planet Namek for the news. Now, for our second attraction, we have a severely mixed-up schedule for YTV. Take a look, and be amazed:

You can catch new episodes of 'DragonBall Z' starting September 15, 2000. Please remember that because we do not have possession of all the new episodes, we aren't going to be able to air new episodes every day. However, we will air the new episodes as soon as we receive them. You'll have to keep watching to catch all the action!

ANNOUNCEMENT:

We are pleased to announce on Thursday November 23, 2000 YTV will be airing 3 new episodes of 'Dragonball Z' back to back. Mark your calendars, tell all your friends! Beginning at 7:30pm E/P we will air episode # 126, "The Reunion', followed by episode #127, "Borrowed Powers" at 8:00pm E/P, then at 8:30pm E/P, catch episode # 128, " His Name is Cell". Please remember, all schedules are subject to change without notice.

Current schedule for 'DragonBall Z' is:

Friday at 6pm E/P -- new episodes when available
Monday at 8pm and 8:30 E/P -- new episodes when available
Monday to Friday at 4am E/P -- will be repeating previous seasons

At this time we have no plans to adjust our schedule to move 'Dragonball Z' back into the Zone. We are sorry if this is disappointing for you to hear, however, starting November 6, 2000, 'Dragonball Z' will air 4 nights a week. Beginning that week you can catch DBZ on Mondays at 8:00pm E/P, Tuesdays at 8:00pm E/P, Thursday at 8:00pm E/P and on Friday at 6:00pm E/P. Repeats will continue to air Monday to Friday at 4:00am E/P. Please note that all schedules are subject to change without notice. Please be assured that all feedback has been forwarded to our programming department for their future consideration.

Please note that YTV has no plans to air 'DragonBall GT' anytime soon (Be assured that the Programming Department knows that DBZ fans want YTV to air the GT series). There are also no plans to air the original 'DragonBall' series, as our contract for these episodes has expired. We also do not have plans at this time to air any DBZ movies.

YTV airs DBZ in the format that we receive it from our distributors. We do NOT edit the program at YTV and therefore we do not control what gets taken out. Canadian television standards must be adhered to and may be different from those in other countries.

Many of you have asked us for copies of 'Dragonball Z'. We are glad to hear that you enjoy the show so much that you would like your own copy, but at present YTV does not provide copies of our programs. We hope you can understand that we simply do not have a service in place to accommodate such requests. Also, we feel it is important to note that we are generally only licensed to broadcast programs and not to distribute them.

*whew* Ok, that station's schedule gets more messed up every time they change it. Hope the changes work out for most. And lastly, but not least, I have to apologize for a previous update, apparently the rumors about the EVA rights being lost from Manga and all that was wrong. Here's the new news:

According to unconfirmed rumors, Manga Entertainment was "on the verge of loosing" the translation and distribution rights to the Evangelion movies, and AD Vision was mentioned as interested in picking up the license. According to Anime News Network, which received official comments on the subject from representatives of both Manga Entertainment and AD Vision, Manga is in no danger of loosing their license for the films, and even if such a situation did occur, AD Vision is not interested in paying the unusually high licensing fee for the movies. The American release of the Evangelion films has been delayed by Manga Entertainment`s painstaking effort to re-assemble all of the voice actors from AD Vision`s television series dub, and because of "undisclosed legal issues."

Thanks to UMJAMS and Anime News Network for this one. It seems I need to start being more critical of news in the community before posting it up. Again, sorry about the fake rumors.

Well, thats it for this gargantuan update, hope your brain is saturated with new anime news. Oh, and also, hope every had a Happy Halloween(unless your mailbox got smashed, like mine -_-). Until next time, bye.

5.37 PM / 10-30-00 AD / Strife - For all EVA lovers out there(that includes me ^_^), apparently a fan had the chance to speak to one of the voice actors in the English dub. Here ya go.

A fan has sent Anime News Network information regard Manga Entertainment's release of the Evangelion rumors. The fan had the chance to meet Tristan MacAvery (the voice of Gendo Ikari in the English dub) in the NekoCon parking lot, which provided the following information. These are rumors, and should be taken with a grain of salt. He said that Manga Video is shooting for a February 2001 release, but since the voices have yet to be recorded he deems that date unlikely. It was also stated that Manga in danger of losing the rights to the Evangelion movies, and that if they do, A.D.V. is waiting right in the wings to pick it up. It was stated that the only original voice talent that would not be returning were Fyutski and Yui.

Thanks to UMJAMS and Anime News Network for the news. If Manga loses the rights to the movies, who knows what the quality will be like with the new company. Though most of the actors are the same, who knows what changes the new management will bring in. Wish them all good.

Also, you might have seen the commercials or heard it before now, but the long-awaited Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz airs on Cartoon Network Friday, November 10 at 5.00 Eastern time. Be sure to watch it!

And on a sidenote, have a very happy Halloween. Just for the occaision, I've created a nice little Image for you. Check out mah Photoshop skills! Thanks to GundamLounge for the base pic I used for mah king of all images!!!! ^_^;

9.36 PM / 10-26-00 AD / Strife - Looks like Toonami shook up its lineup good this time.

There will be a new schedule for all three Toonami franchises (Toonami, Midnight Run, and Rising Sun). ReBoot's last week on the block for a while (it will be back, my friends) will be the week of November 6. The next week, a new lineup begins, but things are, as usual, subject to change.

Monday through Fridays:
4 PM: Gundam Wing
4:30 PM: Sailor Moon

Monday through Thursdays:
5 PM: Dragon Ball Z
5:30 PM: Tenchi
6 PM: Batman
6:30 PM: Superman

Fridays at 5 PM: Toonami Movies (The First Four):
November 10: Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
November 17: Batman/Superman: World's Finest
November 24: DBZ: The World's Strongest
December 1: Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

The weeknight Midnight Run will feature a new lineup. The uncut version of Gundam Wing will leave the Toonami lineup. Tenchi will be added to the block. It will not be unedited, especially the OAV, but it is not known whether it may be a less edited version. Dragon Ball Z will be shown at 12:00, and Tenchi will be shown at 12:30.

Along with this change comes some good news and some bad news. The good news is the long awaited Gundam W: Endless Waltz will be playing with more anime movies int he near future. The bad news is that Gundam W got kicked out of the Midnight Run slot, which really sucks because the uncut episodes were next to brilliant(considering the DBZ dub). Also playing is Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, probably the best non-anime action movie out there(I could be very very wrong). Hope the changes work out for everyone, bye guys.

9.02 PM / 10-26-00 AD / Keisuke - Blar! I'm watching The Slayers right now, it's pretty cool....and when the d/l section is up, this'll be there for ya's. Um, just letting you guys(all 3 of you per day, at max) know that I'm still here. Been wasting most my time on the zone. Bored. Must...d/l...quake3...
